Wenchang Palace Ruins

Located in Ciqikou Old Town, this was once a magnificent temple dedicated to the God of Literature and a gathering place for scholars. Unfortunately, this exquisite ancient complex was destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War by Japanese bombings. Today, although only ruins remain, the weathered foundations and restored scenery still convey the rich cultural atmosphere and heavy historical significance of the old town.
